"It's not my decision to make and I can't guarantee they will. But I like you, and I'm kind of part horse and part every kind of People... so there's a good chance you'll form a bond with a horse." Ajax smiled at her blush.

"You mean that?" she asked hopefully....wishing with all her mind that he would ask her out...and accidently sending that as a mind message. She kept her head down for a moment and heard whinnying so she looked up and before her sttod the most beautiful, spirited stallion she had ever seen. She fell in love with him instantly. She let out the breath she realized she had been holding. "Wow hes gorgeous...." she muttered. Ajax looked at her and said....

"That's my favorite. He's very perceptive, unlike most of these horses who are mostly untameable," Ajax breathed as Brooke and the stallion slowly approached each other. They were obviously making a connection. Ajax completely forgot the words she had sent him but knew they would come back to him later when he meditated.

Brooke looked into the golden eyes of the stallion. He was a golden brown stallion with a strong chest and wonderfully tan legs. He had a black mane and he was intelligent. He knew his people and knew how to act. Brooke could tell all this by looking at this stallion. He was perfect....she prayed that he would choose her to be his rider. She dared not lose the connectin that she had with him by looking away, although she could feel Ajax staring at her.

Ajax decided to leave them be but still supervise, and he knew that in this state Brooke wouldn't miss him or notice him... so he changed into a form easy for him to slip into, a paint horse. He went to communicate with the other horses of Brooke's stallion's father's herd.

Ajax received the mind message but couldn't reply, since he was a horse, and couldn't communicate with humans in any case. He simply whinnied goodbye sadly to a good friend in the bachelor herd and cantered back towards Brooke, changing before he was in her sight. Whoops... clothes. He ran towards the place where he'd changed and quickly dressed before running again back to Brooke. By this time, he was quite out of breath.

Brooke looked at him suspiciously, but she didnt say anything. "What does this mean?" she asked, uncertain of what to do next. Ajax glanced at her one last time, then looked towards the horse.

"You've joined up. Go on, walk up to him.. slowly, that's it, and pat him." Ajax didn't dare communicate with the horse. He wanted them to form a connection independently. "That usually doesn't happen without training, especially not that quickly."

Brooke gazed at him adoringly then quickly averted her gaze onto the horse...appatently her new parter! She felt giddy with joy. "Is there any way for you to help me form a mind connection with him or no?" she asked Ajax with some reluctance. It was a somewhat personal question for her because she didnt like asking for help often. "And I would like for you to please ask him what his name is....or what he wants me to call him. It doesnt make much of a difference to me...just so I know he's comfortable with it."

((you don't want to pick the name?)) "I can be a sort of liason at first for a mind connection, and eventually you two should be able to feel each other.. have a sense of location and of emotion. But he doesn't think much like a human yet. And hold on a minute." Golden one, what is your name?

'My name is Fea. It means speed...and it suits me well as I am the fastest in our herd. Also, tell this human that she better not try to put one of those things that kill our backs on me....ride me on my back.' the horse....Fea, said.

((you know saddles actually protect their backs.. LoL)) "He wants you to ride him bareback. I think he has a misconception of saddles, but once again, I'm trying not to form too much of a connection with him or make him too human-minded. That's his choice to make and yours as well." Ajax looked at Brooke seriously.

((i kno...but a wild horse wouldnt....they wouldnt like it at all....l0l)) Brooke looked back at Ajax, just as serious. They stared at each other for a moment and Brooke suddenly busted out laughing. Ajax stared at her, startled. "Race you back to the stables..." he said, taking off towards the other horses. "You wont win!" she shouted back and went over to Fea. "Ready?" she asked him, climbing onto his back. He took off towards the town, passing up Ajax and his horse easily. "See ya wouldnt wanna be ya!" she screamed while passing him. She bent low over Fea and let him just run....whatever speed he wanted to.

Ajax laughed and slowed to a trot, enjoying the scenery and not wanting to injure his horse. He wished there was some way to transport the tack and let the horses find their way back so he could run as a horse himself. He was getting itchy in his human form.
