Eragon laughed at her face. "Good, youre normal." he said. "Dont worry, if you watch what were going by its much more interesting. Dont look forward....just up."

Donni looked up and gasped. "That's really cool," she whispered, amazed.

ERagon sighed in relief. Maybe this wasnt going to be as bad as he thought....'I could even like this' he realized suddenly.

"Yeah I hope you do, because it'll kinda be hard for this to work if you hate it," Donni replied without thinking.

"Speaking of not entering minds.....if I cant go in yours, stay out of mine." he said, trying to pull a few strings. He stepped out of the force field still holing Donni's hand. She pulled back with a look of horror on her face.

"What?" Donni asked, astonished. She hadn't entered his mind... knowingly.

Eragon sighed. "Try to be more concious about other people's minds."

"No.. seriously.. I thought you said that. I really don't even feel others' minds."

"Obviously you do because I had that layered with blocks....you still heard it. Guess I'll need to see how far back you can hear....beneath layered blocks so we know how much practice you need. He tugged on her arm, "this is our stop. Let's go" he told her. They were above ground now. The armory was right in front of him. Donni reluctantly followed.

"Sharp things used to scare me," Donni remarked as they passed some really long, formidable swords. "Now they just intrigue me."

Eragon stood by the door. "Pick out a sword...one that you like...just pick it out, dont look at prices." he said. He watched Donni as she wandered around the store.

'It's not like I can tell what the prices are anyways,' she thought as she walked around. Seeing a beautiful green sword that matched her eye color to a tee, she pointed at it and called Eragon over. "Does it have a name?" she asked eagerly, fingering its beautiful, carved steel hilt reverently.

Eragon came over and looked at the sword she had picked out. He glanced at it and sighed. "You picked out Glorfindel."

She drew it from its stand, her face showing her awe. Gently she unsheathed it and ran her finger along its length on the flat. "It's beautiful. And.. it feels right." She looked at him questioningly.

Eragon glanced at the price tag, already knowing it was the most expensive and that Donni could never afford it. He walked up to the counter. "i'll take Glorfindel." The craftsman looked at him suspisously. "You dont have enough to pay for that....there is no way." he said back, walking away from the counter. Eragon got angry at him. "if you dont believe me, I will take my business elsewhere." he said, pulling out a nice, fat wallet. The craftsman turned around and widened his eyes. He rushed back to the counter. "That will be 50,000 gold pieces." he said. Eragon glared at him. "Actually sir, the price is 30,000. If you try to cheat me again, I will personally make sure you wil have bad luck for the rest of your life, you will never have another customer, and you will regret the day you cheated me. Understand?" Eragon spun on his heels. "Good" he said over his shoulder when the craftsman replied yes. Donni stared at Eragon, surprised that he had so much money. Eragon tossed Glorfindel over to Donni. She caught it on the hilt, sheathed it, and followed him, starting with the questions.
