Christy felt somehow freer from her worries. 'Could she have taken the pain...no....impossible...' she thought to herself. Just then, she saw something when a gust of wind blew through the halls. It was a picture of a boy and a girl...she thought. They looked kind of faerietaleish. One had wings and the other had a dark red body with bloodred eyes. The winged creature was holding the red creaturess hand and taking him into a house...a treehouse it looked like. She blinked and the image was gone. She then heard something that disturbed her...some people were talking about Wyn down the hall....presumably her old friends. She marched down the hall, trying to find out how she heard their whistpers and what that vision meant.

((haha! i get it!)) Wyn felt the disturbance in the classroom and aroused herself from sleep, aware that the class was over. What had just happened? A chill sent her body into a slight convulsion as she walked out of the classroom, and her jelly-like arms failed her, dropping all her books on the floor. "Of all things..." She bent to pick up the books, noticing that the girls down the hall were talking about her and all of her "weird" comments or "crazy" behavior. Thank goodness she didn't have any gym classes this year... last year she'd spent tons of money on makeup to conceal her wrists. She still had to get some for the dark circles uner her eyes, but it wasn't too bad. Wyn shook her brown short hair out of her blue eyes and walked past the girls with her chin up. One girl had grown up without a father... some burden transferred to Wyn... mostly feelings of abandonment by past boyfriends. Another had a brother with mental disabilities. A third had been abused by her mother. Wyn's shoulders drooped more and more as she walked by, and quickly she closed her mind and tried to focus only on the hallway in front of her. She promptly tripped over someone's foot, which brought peals of laughter.

Christy fumed as she saw what her old friends were doing to Wyn. She wished that they would all get their throats glued shut and thought, 'They should all fall over and their "pretty" faces should get ruined for what they just did!' All of the sudden, all 3 girls tripped over each other and busted their faces open...broken noses, eyeballs permanently crossed, and their mouths were gashed ad bleeding terribly. Christy stood there, shocked as Wyn looked over to see who had caused the "accident". Her mouth dropped, she seemed just as shocked as Christy. The grils ran away screaming. Wyn walked over to Christy. "I didnt mean to I swear! How could I...that would have to mean....I have magic?" she said weakly and went over to a wall and sat down, hands in her head. "Dont take anything from me either...I know you take away burdens...I want all of it, you dont deserve to take everyones troubles away from them...." Christy said it without looking up. "How.." Wyn bagan. Christy cut her off, "I can see things on the wind...and hear." she answered. "And apparently make things happen as I want them to..."

Wyn couldn't help it; her mind blocks were weak, and taking burdens was a thing she did unconsciously. She sank down next to Christy with the new sorrow on her own mind as well. "You need to be taught," she whispered. "You can't go around doing this. You can't." Her face was already slick with tears from what she endured daily in the college halls. It was amazing, what all those students went through. She couldn't bear to leave them with it. She grabbed Christy's hand, wincing as more burdens piled into her mind. "Come on. I know someone who can help you." She winced again as Christy grabbed her wrist, anxious for something to help her overcome her magic. Blood started seeping through her sleeve but she ignored it, practically dragging Christy to a classroom in the basement and sending out a tendril of thought.. help... to the only person she knew how to send it to. Okami. He could follow her to where she and Brooke were going. He knew about magic and he knew how to get where she wanted to get Brooke for help.

Christy and Wyn waited for Okami to come. "Okami has magic too?" she asked incredously.

Wyn looked at (Christy?) incredulously. "I never said we were waiting for him." Then she was silent, not wanting to give up Okami's secrets. She held her sleeve anxiously, wondering what she was going to do with the shirt and how she would hide the stain when she had to let go. Why couldn't she have worn a BLACK shirt today?

Christy looked down at what Wyn was holding. She noticed a red stain forming on the shirt she was wearing. Suddenly, she got a picture of Wyn cutting herself with a razorblade. "Why did you cut yourself...there are always better ways to take out feelings...." Christy said with confusion.

"What?" Wyn said almost too brightly. "Oh, I have a cat. She scratched me while we were playing.. Her claws are huge. You'd be surprised. Hey, I'm gonna go to the bathroom. I'll be right back, okay?"

Christy looked at her firmly. "No, not ok. I know youve been cutting yourself with a 3-inch razorblade that you bought from someone named Hanych. You cut yourself between 6 and 7 pm every night. You are not going anywhere until you start to talk...you better make it fast...I am more than a little upset with you." Christy was surprised that she knew so much information...it had just seemed to come to her from the wind conversations and the vision. She still looked at Wyn firmly, not letting her eyes waver.

Okami heard a mental alert for him. Anything better than that dull class. He walked through the halls and downstairs to see Wyn and Christy. Wow the oddest sight he'd ever seen in a while. A popular preppy girl with an unpopular quiet and seemingly crazy girl, at least to his peers. He thought of her as a good friend. His only thought was 'what's going on that brought these two extremely different people together?'

Wyn knew Christy had the confidence to explain herself. She looked at Okami thankfully and tried to sneak out of the room and avoid Christy's questions. How did she know so much? Wyn hated the fact that she was so vulnerable.

Christy saw Okami and saw Wyn try to sneak out of the door. Christy grabbed her blook-soaked sleave and said, "You are not going anywhere."

Wyn protested weakly, but she was tired and not very strong. She hid her face with her brown shaggy hair as Christy interrogated her, mumbling excuses as her eyes started to leak tears. She hated being so weak... why couldn't she just act cold and strong, and not think about all of life's troubles... not only her own but others' as well?

Christy embraced Wyn in a warm hug, keeping all of her burdens buryed deep inside herself. She sent some magic into Wyn to get rid of some of the bad feelings. Christy didnt know exactlyu what she had done, but she had gotten rid of all the bad emotions inside of Wyn...for the time being.

Wyn felt much lighter after Christy hugged her. She could still feel her normal melancholy in the back of her mind, but it wasn't presently attacking her. She smiled for real for the first time in a long time, tears of thankfulness in her eyes, and went to the bathroom to wash off her arm. This was the first time since she could remember that someone did something for her.
