"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine... just a lot on my mind... that always seems to be the case... some people say I'm a dreamer..... I say I just think to much sometimes..." he tried to explain, faltering at times for the words he knew he wanted to say but couldn't bring himself to speak.

Donni hugged Okami tightly around his waist-- she was too short to do anything higher. "Thinking is good. A lot of people do too little of that."

Okami grinned at her embrace and returned the hug, grinning. "You're definitely right about that one. Some people need to learn to think at all"

"Hehe! Like me. But look where not thinking got me..." she said, gesturing to the world around her.

Okami smiled at this. "I'm glad that you don't think all the time."

((whoa, were you not at school yesterday?!)) Donni grinned. "Well, at least one person is," she replied.

The small figure of a short-raven haired girl was half hidden by a part of a building. Her boney, extra jointed fingers gripped the corner tightly and icy eyes studied the group before her. Curiousity fuzzled her suddenly now childish mind. She was innocent for the moment. Who were they? Accidentally taking a step back caused a somewhat loud thud as well as her tripping and falling. She hoped they didn't notice, but they most likely did...she crawled backwards to hide in the shadow.

Donni turned suddenly at a small noise. Her senses had dulled for a bit, talking to Okami, but now they were strolling along silently and she had reverted to her thief-instincts, learned from the frequent times she'd run away and had to resort to drastic methods to eat. She scanned the street with sharp green eyes and finally saw a tiny movement by a tall brick building. A girl? This looked like one of the street urchins who Donni had encountered many times in her old life... the past. But she wasn't. Because street urchins didn't exist in this time period. Or did they? Was this girl homeless? Donni felt a stab of sympathy at the pathetic silhouette of the girl in the shadows. She tugged Okami's sleeve and pointed surreptitiously. Her short brown hair blew into her face and she blew it right back before combing it back behind her ears with delicate fingers. The wind was picking up...

In her crawling backwards, she backed up into a sharp piece of glass which triggered a nerve which, in turn, caused her eyes to change and a medium sized spark to spray forward clearly in sight of anyone outside the small alley. It was like the brain freeze you get from standing up too quickly only burning.
She closed her eyes and cursed herself for losing control so easily. After gaining control, she inspected her hand which had a deep puncture through the muscle below the thumb. It hurt like a second degree burn and bled like the unrealistic gun shots in movies. She wrapped her hoody sleeve cuff around her hand and saw the shadows of the people standing around the corner shift...
She was in for it now.

Donni, still watching the shadows where the girl crouched, noticed a small spark leap out of the little space. She blinked. What? Leaving Okami behind, she cautiously walked towards the girl. "Are you okay?" she called. She often lit things on fire accidentally herself, but she hardly ever just sparked. Did this girl have a similar power? Or was Donni imagining things? In any case, she might be able to help the girl, who seemed to be huddling over an injured body part. Her hand? She walked faster towards the crouching girl.

"Eep!" was all she managed as she pushed herself up and tried to run by.
Strangers disturbed her and she didn't trust anyone. As she neared the opening to the street, she slammed into someone a lot taller than her in dark clothes. She grabbed onto his long, black hair to stop herself from falling. It worked for the most part...except the guy didn't seem to happy with this. She let go as a streak of pain over powered her hand and then numbness.

Donni heard a sort of squeak and a scuffle as the silhouette stood up and turned to run. Then she heard a sort of collision. Her curiosity was piqued. She ran towards the two, opening up the channel of her mind that let others' strong thoughts in and then deciding that it'd be smarter not to run straight into them. She stopped, whistled a bit with her hands in her pockets, walked right so that the wall obscured her view of the alley, doubled back, and clutching the wall, cautiously looked around the brick wall, being careful not to make a sound. ((complicated sentence there. hehe.))

thinks to self abuot his brother, well half brother and if he'll ever see him.....but for the time being, wonders more about the little girl before him. He toches her head and i surprised at how burning warm she is. Looks around to see if anyone is there to help. Since there was no one around, makes his hand look transparent, puts it in her stomache but no blood comes out, finds what wrong and takes it out....only to find his hand feeling like it's on fire now. He didn't erally mind however, he was use to it.

Scorching skin was such a normal thing when it came to her powers (accidental or not) she didn't notice it anymore. Even burns and blisters seemed invisible to the nerves now, but however, open wounds, bruises and such were a different story.
After seconds of staring in awe at the man, as if frozen that way, she realized what happened and what'd done. She shook her head, still frightened, and ran down the street away from them. She found a new hiding place and mourned over her wounded limb like a kit.
